About GalleryLane

A quieter way to present and discover art.

GalleryLane gives independent artists and small galleries a simple public place to present work online — with the option to be discovered by new visitors.

01

How it works

Discover, explore, make contact.

  1. Discover galleriesBrowse the GalleryLane discovery page.
  2. Explore artworksOpen a gallery that catches your attention.
  3. Request a reservationWhere enabled, send a serious-interest request.
  4. Continue directlyThe gallery handles payment, delivery, collection and any final sale.

A reservation request is passed directly to the gallery. GalleryLane is deliberately not a checkout marketplace.

02

For galleries and artists

A simple home for independent work.

GalleryLane is intended primarily for small galleries, independent artists, craftspeople and curated collections that want a clear online presentation without building a large e-commerce system.

Each gallery controls its own presentation, artworks, public information and reservation settings. Gallery owners can also choose whether they want their gallery to appear on the GalleryLane discovery page.

03

The idea behind GalleryLane

Small by design.

GalleryLane is intentionally kept simple. The goal is not to build another enormous marketplace with advertising, rankings everywhere and complicated selling tools.

  • Present artwork well.
  • Help visitors discover galleries they may not otherwise find.
  • Keep communication direct.
  • Give gallery owners understandable tools.

Technology should support the gallery rather than become the centre of the experience.

Privacy and statistics

Privacy-conscious by default.

No visitor account is needed to discover artwork. GalleryLane does not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

For independent spaces

A simple public presence.

For artists, small galleries and artist-run spaces that want a useful landing point alongside their own channels.

Practical questions

A few useful details

Do I need my own website?

No. A GalleryLane page can be a deliberately simple, low-maintenance public presence.

Do I have to appear in discovery?

No. Direct gallery and artwork links remain useful when a gallery is not listed in discovery.

Does GalleryLane sell the artworks?

No. Payment, shipping, viewing and the final sale are arranged directly between visitor and gallery.

How does a reservation work?

A reservation request is a bridge for serious interest, not an online purchase.

Can I share my gallery directly?

Yes. Use its stable link anywhere you already communicate with your audience.

What happens after a reservation is accepted?

Gallery and visitor continue personally; GalleryLane does not control the final transaction.

Does GalleryLane track visitors?

No advertising or cross-site tracking is used. Optional privacy-friendly statistics remain a gallery setting.
